Night Shift - Forklift Operator

About the position Our client has an immediate need for a Forklift Operator for Crown Reach and other Crown Forklifts. This position plays a vital role in ensuring efficient materials handling, accurate order fulfillment, and safe shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a Crown Reach Forklift in a safe and efficient matter and other heavy equipment, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and a strong understanding of safety protocols such as OSHA standards. This temporary to full-time role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on precision and safety. Responsibilities Operate various types of warehouse equipment including Crown Reach forklifts, to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficientlyPerform order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accuratelyLoad and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damageAssist with shipping and receiving activities, including verifying shipments against documentationConduct routine inspections of heavy equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concernsMaintain a clean and organized work area adhering to OSHA safety standardsSupport warehouse distribution processes, including materials handling and inventory managementCollaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and ensure compliance with safety regulationsRequirements At least 3 to 5 years Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or shipping & receiving roles using a Crown Reach.Valid certification for forklift operation;Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including pallet jacks, and other material handling machineryFamiliarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory controlAbility to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in accordance with OSHA standardsExcellent attention to detail with the ability to verify shipments accuratelyGood communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
