Job Description Parsons is looking for a talented MOT Senior Engineer to join our team full-time to support one of the many large transformative transportation projects that we have either won, are currently pursuing, or will pursue across the nation. Some of the larger projects are located in the states of: Tennessee Georgia North Carolina Virginia Indiana In this role, you will help deliver the design for projects that have a construction value greater than $1 billion, and in turn assist in enhancing the mobility, safety, and reliability for communities who live along and travel through these critical corridors. This position is remote, and the selected candidate will have flexibility in work location while still supporting virtual collaboration with Parsons teams. What You’ll Be Doing Lead the development of complex Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) and construction staging plans for major highway and bridge projectsDevelop comprehensive work zone strategies that balance safety, mobility, and constructability for multi-billion-dollar programsCoordinate closely with roadway, structures, environmental, and construction teams to integrate MOT with overall project phasingPerform and oversee work zone capacity and operational analyses, including queue and delay assessments for major stages and detoursLead MOT components of design-build pursuits, including alternative technical concepts and innovation in traffic managementProvide technical reviews and quality control for MOT plans prepared by others and ensure conformance with applicable standardsServe as a primary technical point of contact with clients and contractors regarding MOT design and implementation issuesMentor and develop junior and mid-level MOT staff, providing technical guidance and training What Required Skills You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent8 to 10 years of progressive experience in transportation engineering with an emphasis on Maintenance of Traffic designStrong knowledge of MUTCD and multiple state DOT MOT standards and practicesDemonstrated experience leading MOT designs for complex freeway, interchange, or major bridge projectsProficiency with CADD platforms used for MOT plan production and coordinationProfessional Engineer (PE) license What Desired Skills You’ll Bring Experience leading MOT on large design-build or P3 projects exceeding $500M in construction valueFamiliarity with advanced traffic analysis or simulation tools for evaluating work zone operationsExperience presenting MOT strategies to clients, stakeholders, and public agenciesDemonstrated experience training and mentoring MOT engineers and designers Security Clearance Requirement None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
