Job description
The Automotive Training Institute (ATI), the largest coaching and training company for Owners of Independent Repair Shops in the US and Canada. With over 1700 shops actively engaged in our program, we provide coaching, training and the largest buying program in the automotive aftermarket for Independent Shop Owners. Our members have cumulatively increased their Gross Profits by almost $3.0 Billion dollars through the ATI program.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Member Relations Manager serves as ATI’s proactive voice of the member, identifying concerns early, coordinating timely solutions and helping prevent member attrition. Reporting to the General Manager, Member Programs, this role spends the majority of its time engaging directly with members, gathering feedback, resolving issues and closing the loop. The Manager owns ATI’s voice of member survey programs and translates recurring feedback into recommendations and programmatic improvements. This role partners closely with Coaching, Training, Peer Groups, Partnership Programs and other ATI teams to create a more responsive, consistent member experience.
Areas of Responsibility
- Build and maintain a consistent outbound member-engagement cadence, proactively contacting members to understand their experience, surface concerns and identify emerging risks.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for member concerns, listening carefully, documenting the issue, assessing urgency and coordinating a clear path to resolution.
- Own ATI’s voice of member survey programs, including survey planning, deployment, response follow-up, insight reporting and continuous improvement of the feedback process.
- Track member issues, commitments and follow-up actions in detail, ensuring members receive timely updates and every concern is carried through to closure.
- Identify patterns across individual member feedback and recommend programmatic, process or service changes when issues affect multiple members.
- Partner with Coaching, Training, Peer Groups and Partnership Programs to resolve member needs and strengthen the consistency of the overall member experience.
- Build productive relationships across ATI and with external partners to remove barriers, coordinate solutions and ensure accountability for member commitments.
- Create clear reporting on member sentiment, recurring issues, attrition risks, resolution progress and opportunities for improvement.
- Escalate high-risk or unresolved concerns to the General Manager, Member Programs with relevant context, recommended actions and a defined follow-up plan.
- Represent ATI with energy, empathy and credibility in every member interaction, reinforcing confidence that concerns are heard, owned and acted upon.
Success Measures
- Earlier identification and resolution of member concerns before they become deal breakers or lead to attrition.
- Consistent, high-quality outbound member engagement and timely follow-up on feedback, commitments and open issues.
- Improved member satisfaction, confidence, retention and perception of ATI’s responsiveness.
- Clear voice of member insights that result in measurable program, process and service improvements.
- Strong cross-functional accountability, issue ownership and closed-loop communication across ATI’s member-facing teams.
Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of experience in member relations, customer success, account management, client services or retention-focused roles, with a deep understanding of the small business and owner-operator mindset.
- 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence and judgment to lead frequent outbound calls, navigate difficult conversations and build trust quickly.
- Highly extroverted, positive and energetic, with a genuine interest in spending the majority of each day talking with members and seeking candid feedback.
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail, follow-up and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple issues, commitments and stakeholders without losing momentum.
- Self-sufficient and comfortable working remotely, setting priorities, taking initiative and moving issues forward with limited day-to-day direction.
- Strong relationship-building and cross-functional influence skills, with the ability to create productive internal partnerships at ATI and external relationships with partners.
- Demonstrated ability to convert individual feedback into broader insights, root-cause analysis and practical recommendations that improve programs, processes and member retention.
Applicants for our positions are considered without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, religion, military or veteran status, or any other characteristics protected by law.

Prepare your application
Use the description above to assess your fit for Driven Brands Inc.. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.
Match requirements to evidence
Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.
Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.
Check the working arrangement
Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.
Review before submitting
Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.
Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.
Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
