Job description
Job Title: Marketing Specialist (Remote)
About the Client:
Is a consulting firm that helps businesses improve their marketing, technology, sales, and AI-driven processes. The team works closely with clients to support their digital presence, marketing operations, and business growth.
Overview:
A marketing specialist who works in HubSpot most of the day and runs a social calendar. They build from our copy, show us
the work before a customer sees it, and keep learning the tool without being told.
The Work:
Six lanes. Most of the day is spent inside HubSpot. Haney Strategy supplies the copy, approves every image, and keeps strategy, analysis, and client decisions. The specialist does the hands-on work in the tool.
HubSpot email campaigns
- Build marketing email campaigns in HubSpot from our copy: the template and design, the list, the schedule, and the results report.
- Set up the routing and logic behind each campaign as we specify, and assign contacts and leads to the right sales rep.
Dashboards and reports
- Build custom reports and dashboards in HubSpot. We say what a report needs to show. The specialist knows how to build it.
- Set reports up for the managers who will read them.
Hands-on HubSpot work
- Do the HubSpot work that has to be done by hand in the tool: email design and test sends, saved views, record layouts, and checks on forms and pages.
- Run contact and record imports: prepare the file, map the columns, and fix the errors.
Social
- Schedule Facebook and X posts in HubSpot from our copy, and keep the calendar.
- Make the image for each post in Gemini or ChatGPT, and queue it for our approval.
- Publish LinkedIn company page posts from our copy and our image.
Ticket desk
- Log marketing requests from a short list of client managers. For the first 30 days, we decide what happens to each one.
- After that, handle the routine ones from an approved list and pass the rest to us. Never tell a client yes or no.
Report admin
- Keep, file, and retrieve recurring reports, including search reports (SEO and AI search).
- This is administrative work. Haney Strategy does the analysis.
Qualifications:
Must have
- Two or more years with HubSpot Marketing Hub as their main tool. Has built marketing email campaigns from start to finish, and custom reports and dashboards, inside HubSpot's own screens.
- Checks their own work before anyone else sees it: the right list, the right links, and the numbers matched against the records. Nothing sloppy.
- On a live call, a client understands them the first time, without asking them to repeat.
- Writes a clear weekly update and a clear question. Short sentences, correct details, and nothing left for us to guess.
- On time for every shift and every call. Meets the deadline. Does what they said they would do, and tells us early when they cannot.
- Builds what the brief says, asks when the brief is unclear, and never sends, publishes, or switches anything on without our approval.
- Goes out and learns what is new in HubSpot and in marketing, and brings us ideas. Can name something they taught themselves in the last three months.
Important
- Scheduling Facebook and X posts from a content calendar, with an approval step before anything is scheduled.
- Publishing posts to a company page as a page admin, from supplied copy and a supplied image.
- Making a post image in Gemini or ChatGPT from a written direction, and revising it from feedback.
- Reading a workflow, and editing one as directed.
- Logging each request and keeping its status current.
Nice to have
- Knows their way around the WordPress admin. Not required.
- How email, social, search, and a website work together to bring in a lead.
- A high-level understanding of what the reports show. No analysis is asked.
- B2B commercial services such as security, fire protection, or the trades.
Schedule: Night Shift
Setup: Remote

Prepare your application
Use the description above to assess your fit for STAFFVIRTUAL. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.
Match requirements to evidence
Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.
Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.
Check the working arrangement
Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.
Review before submitting
Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.
Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.
Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
