Job description

🧘 Benefits beyond base pay:

  • Fully remote work environment – work from anywhere globally
  • Our own global safety net, giving you worldwide health, income, and travel coverage
  • Potential to unlock equity compensation, yearly home office allowance and more!

🚀 We look forward to hearing from you!
At SafetyWing (YC W18), we’re building a global social safety net for remote workers—simple health, insurance, and retirement products designed to replace national welfare systems. Our mission is to remove geographical borders as a barrier to equal opportunity and freedom for everyone. If we succeed, we believe this will be one of the most important tasks of our time.

🌎 About this Role

We're looking for a Marketing Operations Manager on a fixed-term contract of 6-12 months, covering a team member's planned leave. You'll keep a busy marketing department organized and moving. That means tracking projects across the team, running the regular team meetings, making sure decisions turn into action, and keeping leadership informed.

This is an operations and project management role for someone with real marketing know-how. You won't set strategy or run channels. You will need to understand how campaigns, launches, webinars and events come together, so you can spot what's missing, what's late and what needs a decision.

You'll report to our Head of Marketing and work closely with campaign, content, creative, events, lifecycle and sales colleagues across our consumer and B2B businesses.

💻 What you'll do

Keep the department's work moving
  • Keep a clear view of projects running at the same time across the team: their deadlines, dependencies and risks.
  • Run the department's recurring meetings, write down decisions and make sure actions get done.
  • Follow up with contributors and clear routine blockers yourself. When a decision is needed, bring leadership clear options.
  • Send leadership short, regular updates on progress, risks and what needs attention.
Help campaigns and launches come together
  • Help campaign leads turn priorities into plans with clear owners, timelines, deliverables and launch dates.
  • Coordinate the moving parts across copy, design, web, email, events and Sales follow-up so launches land on time.
  • Check that each launch is ready: assets, follow-up journey, Sales handoff and basic tracking, as agreed with the campaign lead.
  • Spot gaps early and raise them, such as a campaign with no follow-up or a launch nobody owns.
Keep the basics in good shape
  • Keep the team's processes practical and repeatable. Improve them where it helps, without adding admin.
  • Keep our project management setup current and well used.
  • Pull together routine updates from existing reports and dashboards when leadership needs them.
Hand back cleanly
  • Learn how the department runs from the current Marketing Operations Manager before their leave, and take over agreed responsibilities step by step.
  • Document what you run so the hand back is smooth. Keep a short record of what changed and what's still open.

🧪 What we're looking for

  • Around 4 or more years in marketing operations, marketing project management, program management or a similar role inside a marketing team
  • A strong record of keeping many projects moving at once, with people who don't report to you
  • Enough marketing experience to understand how campaigns, launches, webinars, events and Sales handoffs work, and to tell when something isn't ready
  • Comfort with project management tools, a CRM and marketing automation. HubSpot experience is a plus
  • Clear, proactive written communication on a remote team, and sound prioritization. You know when to handle something yourself and when to escalate
  • Able to start immediately, and comfortable joining a team mid-stride for a defined period

😀 We like to work with people who:
  • Want to help build a global social safety net on the Internet.
  • Think for themselves instead of copying others.
  • Are willing to try new things, even with the risk of failure.
  • Are intellectually curious and open to new ideas.
  • Are creative and bold in the face of any problems.
  • Have strong integrity and do the right thing.

Prepare your application

Use the description above to assess your fit for SafetyWing. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.

Match requirements to evidence

Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.

Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.

Check the working arrangement

Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.

Review before submitting

Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.

Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.

Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
