Job description

About the role We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to help run the day-to-day marketing at Palisis. It’s a varied role across content, SEO, email, website and social, with plenty of freedom to test ideas, improve things and make the role your own. We’re a small team, so there’s no hiding behind endless approval chains or spending half your week in meetings. You’ll work directly with our UK-based VP of Marketing, but we’re looking for someone who can take ownership, make sensible decisions and keep things moving without needing every step mapped out. We’re a European travel tech company with offices in Switzerland and Spain, so we’re looking for candidates based in Europe or a nearby time zone. We’re not considering applications from locations more than four hours from the UK. What you’ll be doing Own the content calendar and keep it moving Write and manage content across the website, blog, email and social Spot gaps and come up with ideas, rather than waiting for a list Manage feature emails and the monthly newsletter Keep the website useful, accurate and current Work with Product and Sales to turn features into stories people actually care about Plan social content that has a point Review performance and change things when they’re not working Raise blockers early and keep projects moving What we’re looking for Around 5+ years in marketing, content marketing or a similar role Strong writing and editing skills Good SEO and content knowledge Experience managing websites and CMS platforms Strong organisation and project management Confidence making day-to-day decisions Curiosity and a proactive mindset Nice to have B2B or travel tech experience Social media Email marketing Paid ads Analytics Agency or freelancer management Basic Canva/design skills You do not need to tick every box. We’d rather hire a really good marketer than a human checklist. The good bits Fully remote 40 hours a week Proper work-life balance. We’re not messaging you at the weekend because someone has suddenly decided LinkedIn is an emergency Very few pointless meetings Lots of autonomy Occasional travel for customer projects, events or our Swiss office A company trip every year, fully paid And when I say company trip, I do mean trip. Recent ones have included Croatia, Marrakesh, Malta and Barcelona, with the company covering it so everyone can spend a few days doing fun things together. It’s basically our version of a Christmas party, only considerably better. About Palisis Palisis builds ticketing, booking and distribution technology for tourism businesses in more than 125 countries. Our customers include well-known names such as Vienna Sightseeing, Belvedere, Edinburgh Bus Tours and L’Aquàrium de Barcelona. So you’re not marketing something completely abstract. You’re working with tourism businesses, attractions, boats, city tours, and experiences, which gives us plenty of interesting things to talk about. We’re international, friendly and small enough that a good idea can actually become something without six weeks of internal debates. If you like being trusted, having room to experiment and doing work you can actually see the impact of, you’ll probably like it here.
