Job description

Ready to accelerate your career?

Cardata is where driven people make an outsized impact. We’re a small but mighty team transforming how businesses manage vehicle reimbursement — replacing outdated programs with smart, automated solutions.

Our vision is bold: to provide the most comprehensive, intelligent, and automated software and services for creating ideal vehicle programs. And we’re building toward that vision every single day.

Join us and you’ll find challenge, growth, and the chance to deliver real impact — helping hundreds of companies and thousands of drivers across North America focus on the work that matters most to them.

At Cardata, delivering a great customer experience is central to how we operate and grow. We're looking for a Manager, Customer Support to lead our customer-facing Support team and drive improvements in service quality, team performance, and operational efficiency.

In this role, you'll oversee daily Support operations, establish clear performance expectations, and use data to improve service levels, workforce capacity, and customer satisfaction. You'll also identify opportunities to streamline processes, introduce automation, and build a scalable Support function.

This role reports to the Chief Customer Officer.

What you will do:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Customer Support team, establishing clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards.
  • Own key Support metrics, including CSAT, response times, resolution times, ticket backlog, and quality.
  • Manage workforce planning, scheduling, and queue capacity to ensure effective coverage and service levels.
  • Oversee customer escalations, ensuring timely resolution, clear communication, and appropriate ownership.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and improve workflows, processes, and documentation to reduce manual work and recurring issues.
  • Drive opportunities for AI, automation, and self-service to improve Support efficiency and customer experience.
  • Establish consistent quality assurance, coaching, and onboarding practices to strengthen team performance.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Operations to address recurring customer issues and improve processes.
  • Use operational data to identify trends, measure improvements, and inform staffing and business decisions.

What you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in Customer Support, Customer Service, Contact Center, or a similar customer-facing environment.
  • 2+ years of people-management experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
  • Proven ability to improve Support KPIs, service levels, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience with workforce planning, scheduling, queue management, and capacity forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive operational decisions.
  • Experience managing customer escalations and improving Support processes.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring structure to evolving processes.

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing a high-volume, multi-channel Support or Contact Center environment.
  • Experience with Zendesk or similar Support platforms.
  • Experience with AI-powered Support tools, automation, self-service, or quality assurance programs.
  • Experience leading remote or distributed Support teams.
  • Experience in SaaS, technology, fintech, or a related industry.

Compensation:

In line with Ontario’s Pay Transparency legislation, the salary range for this role is $75,000 – $100,000 CAD annually, based on experience, skills, and alignment with the role requirements. This is a vacant position, and we are hiring with intention and seeking someone who will bring new perspective, contribute meaningfully to the team, and grow with the organization.

Why you’ll love working at Cardata:

We’ll be honest — Cardata isn’t for everyone. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, take extreme ownership, and constantly push yourself (and your work) to be the best, you’ll fit right in.

You’ll be surrounded by driven teammates who genuinely care — about the work, about our customers, and about helping each other succeed. Together, we take on ambitious goals and celebrate the wins along the way.

What we offer in return for you bringing your best:

  • Remote work and flexible working hours
  • Mentorship and development opportunities (to help you achieve your career goals!)
  • Extended medical & dental benefits
  • Healthcare spending account
  • $3,000 annual Health and Wellness Spending Account to support your overall wellbeing
  • Employee assistance program (EAP)
  • Flexible (Unlimited) Time Off: No annual cap on vacation, supported by a trust-based, flexible approach to time away.

Cardata is an equal opportunity employer. All candidates will be equally considered without regard to race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, language, citizenship, creed, religion, gender/gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, physical and/or mental handicap or financial ability. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to bring their authentic selves to work.

Prepare your application

Use the description above to assess your fit for Cardata. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.

Match requirements to evidence

Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.

Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.

Check the working arrangement

Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.

Review before submitting

Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.

Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.

Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
