Job description

About Us:
CompassX is a boutique business and technology consulting firm. We help Fortune 500 and high-growth clients deliver their most strategic initiatives, from enterprise transformations to digital and data-driven projects. With over 15 years of proven results, we’ve expanded across industries including financial services, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, consumer products, and quick service restaurants.
We are honored to be recognized as a three-time winner of Consulting Magazine’s Best Boutique Firms to Work For, and previously recognized as a “Best Place to Work” in Southern California and one of INC.’s 5000 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.

lWe are ooking for an experienced Lead Product Designer for a 6 Month Contract role to support a leading global restaurant brand. You’ll provide senior-level design leadership across the client’s digital customer experiences. You’ll lead complex design work on your own, from defining the problem through implementation. You’ll partner with Product, Engineering, Research, Analytics, Marketing and Operations to deliver customer experiences that are intuitive, accessible and measurable.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead experience design for complex features, journeys and product initiatives across app, web, kiosk, loyalty and related digital touchpoints.
  • Turn customer needs, business objectives, research and technical constraints into clear experience direction and designs that can be built.
  • Own work from problem framing through user flows, interaction design, prototyping, validation, detailed design and implementation.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to influence requirements, priorities, tradeoffs and delivery decisions.
  • Use research, analytics, usability testing and customer feedback to find opportunities and validate solutions.
  • Apply and evolve design-system patterns so experiences stay accessible, consistent and high-quality.
  • Lead design critiques and cross-functional working sessions, and clearly explain design rationale and recommendations.
Provide design QA and work with Engineering through implementation to protect experience quality.
  • Mentor and give design direction to other designers when appropriate, without formal people-management responsibilities.

What You'll Bring:

    • Proven experience leading product design for complex digital products or connected customer journeys.
    • A strong portfolio that shows product thinking, interaction design, systems thinking, visual execution and measurable outcomes.
    • Advanced skills in Figma, prototyping, interaction design, information architecture, accessibility and design systems.
    • Experience working through ambiguity on your own and aligning cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Strong understanding of customer research and data-informed product design.
    • Excellent facilitation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
    • Not required but highly preferred: Experience with restaurant, retail, commerce, loyalty, marketplace or similarly complex consumer experiences.

Prepare your application

Use the description above to assess your fit for CompassX Group. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.

Match requirements to evidence

Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.

Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.

Check the working arrangement

Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.

Review before submitting

Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.

Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.

Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
