About Kintsugi
Kintsugi is a leading innovator in the fintech space, redefining how businesses manage sales tax compliance. Our AI-powered platform simplifies one of the most complex and painful aspects of running a business, sales tax calculation and filing, so our customers can focus on growth, not bureaucracy.
As a remote-first company, we believe in asynchronous collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning. Our IT Engineering team plays a critical role in ensuring the company remains secure, compliant, and resilient as we scale across teams, tools, and territories.
The Role
We’re looking for an IT Engineering Generalist to join our growing team and help keep our internal systems secure, efficient, and running smoothly. In this hands-on role, you’ll work across a broad range of IT areas, from deploying new tools into our existing stack to supporting end users and troubleshooting issues across devices, apps, networks, and access tools. You’ll build workflow automations and integrations using custom and native solutions within platforms such as Jira and HubSpot. and you’ll help maintain our marketing website and the technical stack that sits behind it.
AI is central to how we work. We expect you to use AI tools and agents as a default part of your workflow to accelerate delivery, multiply your output, and take on work that would otherwise require a larger team.
This is a role with real autonomy. You’ll own projects end to end: scoping the work, setting timelines, communicating progress to stakeholders, and seeing it through to delivery without waiting to be told what’s next. You’ll play a key role in scaling our IT operations, implementing improvements across tooling, automation, and documentation to support a fast-growing global team. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Sales, Customer Success, Onboarding, and Marketing to drive process improvements and ensure IT best practices are embedded across the company.
This is a role for someone who’s resourceful, solutions-focused, and excited to build and maintain an IT environment that empowers every team member to do their best work.
What You’ll Do
Design and build workflow automations and integrations using n8n and native APIs, driving operational efficiency and reducing manual work.
Use AI tools and agentic workflows to accelerate outcomes across IT operations, website maintenance, automation, and support.
Own IT projects from planning through delivery: define scope and success criteria, break work into milestones, track progress, surface risks early, and keep stakeholders informed.
Administer and customize the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, etc.) to support team productivity, workflow design, and reporting needs.
Maintain and improve our marketing website alongside AI agents.
Provide responsive and reliable technical support to team members, resolving software, hardware, and access issues across the company.
Document what you build and maintain so systems and processes are understandable and sustainable beyond you.
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years of experience in IT or software engineering, with hands-on skills in workflow automation, integrations, scripting, and support.
Demonstrated ability to work with AI tools (coding agents, LLM-based assistants, AI-driven automation) to accelerate productivity and deliver outcomes faster and at higher quality.
A strong sense of ownership: you take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks, and proactively identify and fix problems before they’re escalated to you.
Experience managing high-impact projects from planning through execution and delivery, including prioritizing competing requests and communicating clearly on status and trade-offs.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; you’ll be working across functions to achieve this role’s mission.
Our teammates are our “customers”; you’re passionate about delivering exceptional internal support and creating solutions that make their work easier.
Bonus Points
Able to work core hours aligned with US Pacific Time.
SEO and AEO experience: Google Search Console, Semrush, Google Tag Manager, technical/programmatic/on-page SEO, and optimizing content for AI answer engines.
Experience with internal infrastructure: SSO and identity/access management, device management, SaaS provisioning and offboarding, and security/compliance tooling.
Prior work in fintech, compliance-focused domains, or Series B+ startup environments.
Why Join Kintsugi
Join a mission-driven startup simplifying tax automation for modern businesses.
Work on meaningful problems that have real-world business and operational impact.
Collaborate with a thoughtful, experienced IT team and take ownership of high-impact projects.
Enjoy a flexible, fully remote work culture with opportunities for growth and mentorship.

Prepare your application
Use the description above to assess your fit for Kintsugi AI. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.
Match requirements to evidence
Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.
Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.
Check the working arrangement
Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.
Review before submitting
Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.
Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.
Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
