About Defuse Labs

Defuse Labs builds NEAR Intents, the universal transaction layer for the AI economy — intent-based infrastructure that enables people, agents, and applications to move value across chains and assets without bridges, fragmented liquidity, or manual routing.

At the center of our product ecosystem is near.com.

near.com is building a permissionless financial account: one place to hold, grow, invest, trade and use assets across blockchains, with privacy and control at its core. Our ambition is to make sophisticated financial capabilities feel like parts of one coherent product, increasingly accessible through conversation and trusted agents.

Our initial customers are comfortable with crypto and value their time, privacy and independence. They want access to what financial technology makes possible without having to manage its complexity.

We also build NEAR Intents, the universal transaction layer for the AI economy — intent-based infrastructure that enables people, agents, and applications to move value across chains and assets without bridges, fragmented liquidity, or manual routing. Instead of specifying a transaction path, users simply express what they want to achieve, and a competitive network of solvers fulfills the intent with competitive execution across available liquidity.

We operate in startup mode: high ownership, fast execution, and high standards. We’re a small, globally distributed team that moves quickly, takes initiative, and adapts as the product and market evolve.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Head of Product Marketing & Growth (Lead) with a primary focus on near.com — owning how the product is positioned, understood, launched, and adopted by users.

This is a foundational, highly product-oriented role responsible for how near.com is understood, brought to market, and adopted by users. You’ll develop a deep understanding of our users and market, define the product’s positioning, target audiences and core use cases, and own go-to-market across launches and the broader product lifecycle.

You’ll work closely with Product and Growth to turn that understanding into adoption — shaping onboarding, messaging, distribution and product education, and identifying the barriers that prevent users from discovering value and coming back. You’ll combine qualitative customer insight with product data to understand what resonates, where users drop off, and what could improve acquisition, activation, engagement and retention.

This is not a role that simply markets what Product has already built. You’ll bring the market and user perspective into product decisions, helping us determine who we are building for, which use cases matter most, how the product should evolve, and how we take it to market.

You’ll also support product marketing for NEAR Intents, particularly around partner positioning, integrations, and launches with CEXs, wallets, fintech platforms, and other distribution partners.

You’ll be particularly effective in this role if you’ve worked and grew the consumer product organization at a CEX, fintech company, neo-banks, wallet, trading platform, payments product, or another digital-asset business. You understand how users discover and evaluate financial or crypto products, what creates trust and friction, and how product experience, positioning, onboarding and distribution work together to drive adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product marketing for near.com — positioning, messaging, go-to-market, launches, and adoption.
  • Define and continuously refine target audiences, core use cases, value proposition, and competitive positioning based on user, product, and market insights.
  • Act as the voice of the user, translating research, feedback, and behavioral data into actionable Product and UX recommendations.
  • Partner with Product and Growth to improve acquisition, onboarding, activation, engagement, and retention, identifying and addressing key adoption barriers.
  • Lead go-to-market for new features and releases, including launch strategy, messaging, distribution, and success metrics.
  • Own product-facing communications and enablement, including website messaging, onboarding, launch materials, FAQs, decks, and product education.
  • Support NEAR Intents product marketing and partner launches, working with BD on positioning, partner materials, co-marketing, and post-launch adoption.
  • Build repeatable product marketing processes and playbooks that make launches, experimentation, and adoption initiatives more scalable.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in product marketing or a closely related product role, ideally with meaningful experience at a centralized exchange, fintech company, crypto wallet, or another trading, payments, or digital-asset product.
  • A proven track record of owning go-to-market for product features or integrations end-to-end — from positioning and launch through to adoption and performance tracking, not just creative execution.
  • Strong understanding of exchange, wallet, or fintech users and product teams — you understand how they evaluate infrastructure, what creates friction or drives adoption, and how to translate those insights into better product and messaging decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn technical or ambiguous concepts into clear, compelling narratives for both partner teams and end users.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving, resource-lean environment — able to build processes as needed rather than relying on established structures.
  • Experience working effectively in remote, globally distributed teams.
  • A solid working understanding of crypto fundamentals, including wallets, custody, swaps, and cross-chain transfers. Deep protocol-level expertise isn’t required, but you should be comfortable working closely with technical and engineering teams.

Prepare your application

Use the description above to assess your fit for Defuse Labs. This checklist is guidance from Resumize, rather than additional requirements from the employer. Imported listings can be shortened or change after collection, so confirm the complete description and current availability before sending an application.

Match requirements to evidence

Identify the responsibilities and skills the employer explicitly names. For each important requirement, choose one example from your work, education, training, or projects. Explain what you did, how you did it, and what changed as a result. Include a measurable outcome when you can support it. If you lack a requirement, describe related experience accurately instead of adding an unfamiliar skill to your resume.

Put the most relevant examples near the top of your resume. Keep job titles, dates, qualifications, and contact details consistent across your application materials. Use the employer’s terminology when it describes your experience accurately; a copied list of keywords does not explain your contribution. A short, specific bullet is easier to review than a paragraph that mixes several unrelated duties.

Check the working arrangement

Confirm the location, schedule, employment type, and any eligibility requirements on the employer’s site. A remote label does not establish worldwide eligibility or flexible hours. If compensation, benefits, equipment, travel, or contract duration are missing from this listing, write down your questions for the recruiter. Do not assume details from another opening at the same company apply to this role.

Review before submitting

Follow the employer’s requested file format and application instructions. Open your exported resume and check that its text is selectable, its sections read in order, and its links work. Proofread names, dates, and contact information. Share confidential work samples only when you have permission, and use an anonymized example when necessary.

Submit through a trusted employer or recruiting destination. If the original listing has disappeared, search the employer’s careers page for the title rather than assuming the vacancy remains open. Save the application date, job reference, and the version of your resume you sent. Those details help you prepare for a later conversation and avoid submitting conflicting information through several job boards.

Review your resume for writing and readability feedback, or browse other openings if this opportunity is unavailable.
