Position Overview: As the FS Product Manager, you will play a crucial role driving the execution and realizing the vision of product initiatives for the Financial Services vertical (focused on Alternative Asset Firms) including managing the product backlog, delivering high-quality features that meet client needs, and ensuring alignment with overall product strategy. This role is highly technical and detail-oriented, requiring deep domain expertise, hands-on involvement in requirements definition and QA, and direct ownership of the internal enablement layer. Key Responsibilities: Own the Carried Interest and Co-Invest product backlog, gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing requirements in close partnership with the FS vertical teamTranslate complex financial, accounting, and fund structure concepts into detailed functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria for development teamPartner with R&D and QA throughout the development cycle, serving as the subject matter authority on FS logic and expected system behaviorBuild test cases and validate new features and releases to verify financial calculations, edge cases, and workflow logicBuild and maintain internal enablement materials for training implementation teams on product functionality, owning the implementation playbook, and serving as the go-to resource for how the system worksServe as the escalation point when implementation teams need help mapping client requirements to product capabilities during implementationsSupport FS principal consultants on deal qualification and technical scoping for large or complex opportunitiesClearly communicate product plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels of the organizationMaintain a feedback loop between field teams and the FS vertical product leadership to inform roadmap prioritiesPerform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 3–5 years in a product management, business analysis, or solutions engineering role within a SaaS platformStrong foundation in finance and accounting — whether through a degree, professional designation (CPA, CFA), hands-on experience in a finance or accounting function, or direct experience working with finance-oriented SaaS platformsPreference given to candidates with experience at or serving investment management firms — PE, hedge, credit, or infrastructure — including fund accounting, GP finance, or portfolio administration functionsProven ability to translate complex requirements into precise functional specifications and acceptance criteriaStrong QA instincts — comfortable testing complex financial workflows at a detailed level and identifying edge casesExcellent communication and collaboration skills; able to translate between financial stakeholders, principal consultants, and development teams Domain Expertise Fund accounting fundamentals — capital accounts, waterfall mechanics, preferred return, carry sequencing, and co-investment mechanicsAlternative asset management operations — familiarity with how PE, credit, hedge, and infrastructure firms administer carry programs across GP finance, fund admin, and legal functionsLegal and structural literacy — ability to read LPAs and fund documents and map provisions into product configuration and requirements HRSoft is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
