Electrical Control Engineer

POSITION Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Controls & Automation Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you'll assist with the design, programming, and implementation of automated control systems for industrial clients. You'll be involved in control panel design, PLC/HMI programming, system commissioning, and support. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone eager to grow in the field of automation and industrial controls.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Design & DevelopmentAssist in designing and drafting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layoutsDevelop and test PLC and HMI programs under guidance of senior engineersContribute to creating Bill of Materials (BOM) and I/O lists for projectsPerform basic system configuration and documentationProject Support & CommissioningParticipate in assembly, testing, and commissioning of automation systemsCollaborate with team members to troubleshoot and refine systems during deploymentHelp prepare and maintain project documentation and manualsProvide on-site support under supervision when required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related fieldBasic understanding of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Ignition)Exposure to AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD softwareStrong communication skills and willingness to work in cross-functional teamsAbility to travel occasionally for site installations or client meetingsDetail-oriented with a passion for industrial automationPreferred Qualifications:Internship or project experience in controls or automation engineeringFamiliarity with control hardware: sensors, relays, VFDs, motor starters, and safety devicesUnderstanding of basic troubleshooting methods for electrical systemsFamiliarity with NFPA 70E, UL508A, or other relevant standards.
