Data Analyst
Job Description
Alpine Business Consulting is working with a Berlin-based partner to overhaul their enterprise reporting systems. For many organizations, the promise of data-driven decisions falls apart when the underlying figures are inconsistent across different platforms. We are adding a Data Quality Analyst Assistant to help our team sort through the noise and establish a single source of truth for this partner. This is a permanent, full-time position that is entirely remote, allowing you to contribute from your own location while working alongside our senior consulting team.
About Alpine Business Consulting
We specialize in fixing enterprise performance management systems that have failed to live up to expectations. Often, companies are sold complex planning tools that end up being poorly configured, leaving finance teams to reconcile mismatched data manually every month. These broken implementations waste time and create unnecessary stress for accounting departments. We step in to clean up the mess or build new systems from the ground up that actually work. We prioritize transparency and predictability, offering fixed price projects and thorough documentation that a client team can actually use after we finish our work.
Our consultants have spent years working with Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and modern analytics tools. We have seen every common implementation mistake and we know how to correct them. Unlike larger firms that might use a client engagement to train junior staff without supervision, we ensure that every project is led by experienced professionals who prioritize reliability and clean data over corporate jargon.
The role
As a Data Quality Analyst Assistant, you will support our consultants in the fundamental work of verifying data integrity. Large scale system migrations fail when the source data is messy, so your primary responsibility is to ensure that the information being moved is accurate, formatted correctly, and properly documented. You will act as a second set of eyes on data sets, looking for gaps that could disrupt the reporting process. This role is a starting point for someone who wants to understand how financial and operational data is structured in large organizations.
What you will be doing
Your daily tasks will vary based on the specific phase of the project, but they will generally focus on accuracy and consistency. In this remote position, you will interact with the team through shared documents and video calls to stay aligned on project goals.
This is an entry level role, so we are more interested in your attention to detail and your logical approach to problem solving than a long list of previous positions. We need someone who is comfortable looking at rows of data and finding the one thing that does not belong.
This position is a paid role, and the compensation is competitive and attractive for an entry level professional. Because we are a fully remote company, you will have the flexibility to work from your preferred environment without the need for a commute. You will gain direct exposure to high level consulting projects and learn from seniors who are experts in their fields. We do not believe in unnecessary overtime or unrealistic deadlines. Instead, we focus on steady, predictable progress and high quality output. You will be provided with the training and support needed to understand our methods and contribute meaningfully to our partner's success.
At Alpine Business Consulting, we believe that the best systems are the ones that a client can maintain themselves. Our goal is always a clean handover. By helping us build the documentation and verify the data, you play a part in ensuring our clients have a reliable foundation for their business reporting for years to come.

- Learning the basics of EPM software and how different data points interact within a financial system.
