Responsibilities Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams on Monday and Tuesday each week
Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement
Modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs
Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter in a synchronous online format (Microsoft Teams)
Maintain current certifications in subjects taught
Mastery of Subject Matter Demonstrate thorough and accurate knowledge of their field or discipline
Connect subject matter with related fields
Stay current through professional development, involvement in professional organizations, and attending meetings, conferences, or workshops
Adhering to College Policies and Procedures Ensure Student Database is fully updated and accurate regarding attendance and grade records
Maintain compliance with accreditation, class hours requirements, and CIAT policies
Promote collaboration with staff and participate in new projects or ideas
Adhere to CIAT business casual attire; refer to the CIAT Employee Handbook for policy details
Requirements Instructors must provide official transcripts of bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and certification in the subject taught
Certifications we are looking for: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, CGRC, CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA PenTest+, CompTIA SecAI+
At least three years’ experience in Cyber, Network, and Information Security OR two years of teaching experience
At least three years’ experience in the respective field OR two years of teaching experience
Synchronous online teaching experience preferred
Advanced subject matter expertise with commitment to ongoing professional development
Effective presentation, communication, and technology skills
Proficient with MS Office and learning technologies (e.g., Canvas); ability to work independently
Ability to multitask and problem-solve effectively; collaborate with colleagues and administration to support student success
Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and staying current with trends in higher education
Strong communication skills; high ethical standards and professionalism
Compliance with all college policies and regulations, including academic integrity and student conduct
Must embody CIAT’s mission, vision, and values
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work Days and hours are typically Monday through Friday; weekend and evening hours may be required. Live classes are scheduled twice per week on Monday and Tuesday, 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm (Pacific Time).
Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Sedentary work with potential for extended sitting
