CNC Machinist - Lathe & Mill-Turn (Mid to Senior Level)

Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: 40 hours per week plus overtime as required Compensation: Pay commensurate with experience Benefits: Vacation, Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance available Job Summary We are seeking a skilled mid- to upper-level CNC Machinist with strong experience in CNC lathes and mill-turn machines for a fast-paced job shop environment. The ideal candidate will be capable of independently setting up, programming, and running complex parts while maintaining high standards for quality, efficiency, and safety. Key Responsibilities Set up, and operate CNC lathes and mill-turn machinesRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&TPerform machine setups including tooling, fixturing, offsets, and work holdingInspect parts using precision measuring toolsMaintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet quality specificationsWork efficiently in a job shop environment with frequent changeovers and short runsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaCollaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other machinists as neededQualifications 5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred (lathe and mill-turn)Strong knowledge of CNC machining principles, tooling, and cutting parametersProven ability to independently complete setups and complex jobsExperience working in a job shop environmentAbility to hold tight tolerances and work with a variety of materialsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work overtime when requiredPreferred Skills (Not Required) Experience with multi-axis mill-turn machinesFamiliarity with aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing standardsWhat We Offer Competitive pay based on experienceFull-time, stable employment with overtime opportunitiesVacation time Company DescriptionBoyd Machine Co. is a precision machine shop, Working in the Aerospace and Defense fields as well as Semi Conductor and Medical we take pride in everything we do.
