Cloud DevOps Engineer/REMOTE-2-3 months contract

Cloud DevOps Engineer Location: REMOTE duration: 2 to 3 months (Maybe longer) or could be part of longer-term conversion possible For a cloud-based engineer with EKS Anywhere experience, the role would typically align to a Cloud Engineer / Kubernetes Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer profile. Key clarification: "on Prim" should likely be "on-prem" — meaning the person has experience running Kubernetes/EKS Anywhere in both cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure. Role Focus Build, deploy, and manage Kubernetes-based platforms using Amazon EKS Anywhere Support hybrid environments across AWS cloud and on-prem data centers Help modernize infrastructure and enable containerized application deployments Core Technical Skills Strong experience with Kubernetes Hands-on experience with Amazon EKS / EKS Anywhere AWS cloud services and architecture Hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure experience Containerization using Docker Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible CI/CD pipeline tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps Linux systems administration Networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, routing, and VPNs EKS Anywhere-Specific Experience Deploying and managing EKS Anywhere clusters Supporting Kubernetes clusters on bare metal, VMware vSphere, or other on-prem platforms Managing cluster upgrades, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting Understanding of hybrid connectivity between AWS and on-prem environments Experience with GitOps tools such as Flux or Argo CD is helpful Preferred Experience Monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Splunk, or ELK Security controls for Kubernetes workloads IAM, RBAC, secrets management, and policy enforcement Experience supporting production enterprise environments Scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell Soft Skills Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud/on-prem issues Strong documentation and communication skills Comfortable working remotely with cross-functional teams Experience supporting enterprise clients or managed services environments
