Business Development Representative – Facilities Management (Inside Sales)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Representative with a strong background in B2B outbound sales, inside sales, sales development, or appointment setting, ideally selling into U.S. or North American markets, to drive new-business pipeline for our nationwide facilities management operations.
This is not a traditional call-center role. We are looking for someone who understands the front end of the commercial facilities sales cycle, from prospect research and outbound outreach through discovery, qualification, and the handoff of sales-ready opportunities to our U.S. business development team.
As a front-line revenue driver, you will own outbound prospecting across phone, email, and LinkedIn, reach decision-makers at commercial facilities accounts, qualify their needs, and book and advance meetings for our U.S. closers, consistently hitting activity and pipeline targets. The ideal candidate runs high-volume B2B outbound with discipline, speaks credibly about facilities services, builds rapport quickly, handles objections well, and owns their numbers.
What You'll Do:
Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Generation
- Research and build target lists of U.S. commercial facilities prospects, including property management firms, building owners, and facility directors across retail, restaurant, convenience store, healthcare, commercial, and industrial sectors.
- Run high-volume outbound outreach across phone, email, and LinkedIn to reach decision-makers.
- Open conversations, build rapport, and generate qualified interest in our facilities services.
- Consistently hit daily and weekly targets for calls, conversations, and qualified opportunities.
Discovery, Qualification & Handoff
- Conduct discovery to understand prospect needs, site count, current provider, pain points, and buying process.
- Qualify opportunities against our criteria for fit, timing, and decision authority.
- Book and confirm meetings for our U.S. business development manager and reps, and brief them so they walk in prepared.
- Nurture and follow up on prospects who are not yet ready until the timing is right.
CRM, Reporting & Sales Operations
- Log all activity, contacts, and opportunities accurately in the CRM.
- Maintain clean pipeline data and provide daily and weekly activity and pipeline reports.
- Track conversion metrics, including calls, connects, meetings set, meetings held, and opportunities created.
- Continuously refine scripts, sequences, and targeting based on what is working.
Facilities Knowledge & Professional Representation
- Learn our facilities services, including janitorial, maintenance, integrated FM, and related trades, well enough to speak credibly and qualify effectively.
- Represent the company professionally as the first voice a prospect hears.
- Partner with the U.S. business development manager and operations team to keep messaging aligned with what we deliver.
What We're Looking For:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in B2B outbound sales, inside sales, sales development, telesales, or appointment setting, ideally into U.S. or North American markets.
- A proven record of hitting high-volume activity and qualified-meeting targets.
- Excellent spoken and written English with a confident, professional phone presence.
- Strong discovery, rapport-building, objection-handling, and qualification skills.
- The aptitude to learn a service and sell it, and to speak credibly about facilities or commercial services after training.
- Experience with a CRM such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or Pipedrive, and with outbound tools such as dialers, sequencers, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and disciplined working independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to work U.S. business hours with significant overlap.
- Resilience and persistence, and comfort with high call volume.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling or prospecting into facilities management, janitorial, building services, maintenance, field services, construction, or commercial real estate.
- Experience selling into multi-site commercial clients across retail, restaurant, convenience store, healthcare, hospitality, commercial office, or property management sectors.
- Familiarity with facilities work order or FM platforms such as ServiceChannel, Corrigo, FMX, or similar, or with the commercial facilities buying process.
- Experience booking meetings for U.S.-based sales teams or national account programs.
- A track record of measurable pipeline contribution, such as meetings booked, opportunities created, or revenue influenced.
- Familiarity with outbound cadences, cold-calling frameworks, and sales qualification methods such as BANT or MEDDIC.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required with equivalent sales experience.
Work From Home Requirements
- Reliable computer or laptop
- High-speed internet connection
- Quality headset
- Quiet, professional remote work environment
We provide company email, CRM and system access, dialer and outbound tools, call scripts, and the sales enablement needed to perform the role successfully.
Why Join Us?
- Uncapped earning potential, with a base salary plus commission and bonuses tied to the meetings you set and the deals they produce.
- A high-trust, high-accountability remote environment where your results matter more than micromanagement.
- Direct partnership with U.S. leadership and the business development team, with real influence on how we win new business.
- Training on the facilities business and the commercial sales process, and the tools and scripts to succeed from week one.
- We are building for the long term. This role offers strong potential for growth into senior inside sales, account executive, or team lead positions within a growing U.S.-based company.
