Job description
Our client, a top banking client in Canada is looking to hire a Business Analyst - Data Governance role for their team with a contract of 6 months which is renewable. This role 2 days a week in the office for their Toronto office.
Data Governance Framework Development - Support the Finance Data Governance Program by ensuring alignment with the Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM) and industry best practices.
Requirement Gathering & Analysis - Work closely with stakeholders, including internal teams and consulting partners, to gather, document, and analyze current data governance practices and define future procedures.
Process Documentation & Improvement - Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, ensuring compliance with DCAM standards and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration - Engage with finance, data governance teams, and consulting partners (such as KPMG) to facilitate discussions, drive alignment, and support governance initiatives.
Data Quality & Compliance Monitoring - Assist in assessing and improving data quality, integrity, and governance controls within the finance function.
Must have skills:
3-5 years as a BA within Data Governance
DCAM certification
SQL Experience *Ideally should have some technical background
FI experience would be great
PM experience or good understanding of how to run a project would be great.
