Associate Product Manager (APM) – Analytics & ML As an Associate Product Manager at Switch, you will sit at the intersection of product management, customer success, analytics, and machine learning. This role is designed for someone who wants to own real product outcomes early in their career—working deeply with customers, engineers, and data systems—while developing strong product instincts and technical fluency. You will be translating real-world data and analytics challenges into scalable product features, dashboards, automation, and ML-driven insights. While this is not a pure engineering role, it requires strong technical depth and comfort working hands-on with data, analytics tooling, and ML workflows. PMs at Switch operate in an apprenticeship-style structure, learning from experienced product leaders, engineers, and data scientists, with a clear path to product management or broader business leadership roles. What You’ll Do Analytics, Data & ML EnablementWork hands-on with analytics and data systems to monitor data fidelity, diagnose pipeline issues, and improve performanceLeverage SQL, Python, and modern analytics tools to explore client data, build metrics, and support experimentation (e.g., incrementality testing, predictive modeling)Support and contribute to the AI training lifecycle, including data preparation, feature validation, and performance monitoringHelp shape ML-powered features, automation, and predictive insights that improve customer outcomes Product Development & Roadmap InfluenceCollaborate daily with engineering, data science, and ML teams to design, scope, and ship customer-facing analytics and ML productsContribute directly to the analytics and ML product roadmap, informed by customer discovery and usage patternsIdentify opportunities to standardize, automate, and scale analytics workflows across customersHelp define product documentation, playbooks, internal tooling, and best practices Cross-Functional & Strategic ImpactWork with integration partners across major platforms (e.g., Google, Meta, Amazon, Reddit) Synthesize complex technical and business information into actionable recommendations for leadership What We’re Looking For Core Qualifications1–2 years of experience in analytics, data science, or machine learningStrong analytical foundation with exposure to SQL, Python, data analysis, or ML conceptsComfort working with technical systems and collaborating closely with engineers and data scientistsAbility to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersStrong ownership mindset, curiosity, and bias toward action Technical & Analytical SkillsWorking knowledge of SQL and data modeling conceptsFamiliarity with analytics and data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Looker/Looker Studio, or similar)Exposure to machine learning concepts, experimentation frameworks, or predictive analyticsAbility to reason about data pipelines, data quality, and system performance (without needing to be a full-time engineer) Bonus Experience Experience with digital marketing analytics, measurement, or experimentation Exposure to ML infrastructure, MLOps/DataOps, or automation tooling Startup experience or comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments Location Switch is headquartered in Toronto, Canada, but operates fully remotely. However, preference will be shown to candidates with the Greater Toronto area.
