AI Engineer

The Role

• Design, develop, and operate modern web applications across a SaaS portfolio, working across frontend, backend, and DevOps layers.
• Integrate AI-native features and agentic experiences into products, utilizing LLMs, retrieval, tool-use, and structured workflows to create value for healthcare professionals and patients.
• Design, develop, and operate cloud-native services with a focus on reliability, security, and developer productivity.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, UX, Architecture, and Engineering to elevate engineering and AI-engineering quality.
• Maintain a user-centric approach, understand healthcare workflows, and bring an entrepreneurial, outcome-driven mindset to feature development.
  
  

What You'll Need

• Several years of senior experience in full-stack engineering of modern web applications with deep knowledge in at least one frontend stack (React or Angular) and one backend stack (Java/Spring Boot or Python).
• Completed university degree (Master or PhD) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Practical experience with core technologies such as React/Angular, Java Spring Boot, Python, C#, Kafka, Terraform, and Cloud/DevOps environments (Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD).
• Proven effective use of AI in software engineering, including experience in designing AI pipelines, harnesses, and context engineering.
• Fluent in German and English, strong problem-solving skills, innovation, high proactivity, and excellent collaboration skills.
